The situation may appear calm and more stable than recent times, however the under currents are very fluid and the situation may change with events moving surprisingly fast.
 

Until further notice: it is advised to restrict travel with in the Diplomatic Enclave.

Although the initial curfew between 2300hrs and 0500hrs has been lifted it could be reinstated at any time.

We recommend that Dutch citizens continue to monitor announcements that are published in the local press or announced in the local media.

For Embassy staff

Travel outside the Diplomatic Enclave is RESTRICTED for Embassy staff.

• Official business outside the Diplomatic zone should be considered providing location and current events are reviewed

• There should be no travel outside the Diplomatic zone without prior approval from the BVA

• Staff are reminded to carry their mobile phone at all times to ensure adequate communication.
