Entering a new market: support for Dutch companies                July 2008

Dutch investors looking for trade and investment opportunities in Bangladesh are kindly advised to first contact the EVD (agency for international business cooperation), local Chambers of Commerce (KvKs), Fenedex, NCH, NEC etcetera. These organisations (www.kvk.nl; www.fenedex.nl; www.handelsbevordering.nl; www.nec.nl) can familiarize you with doing business abroad. Moreover, the EVD (www.evd.nl/) can provide you with tailor-made information, personal guidance and information on financial support to improve your companies’ prospects on the Bangladeshi market. After this preparation phase the EVD can contact the Netherlands Embassy in Dhaka or you can contact us directly to further assist you, e.g. answer specific country questions, provide information on local counterparts or introduce your company to local authorities and companies.

Developing your business

For an overview of all business support instruments which are offered to companies wishing to start activities in Bangladesh; please visit the database Developing Your Business at www.evd.nl/DyB.

The Developing Your Business database is sponsored by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs and hosted by the Netherlands Foreign Trade Agency (EVD). It provides information on subsidies and grants, support for import and export activities, investments, finding experts, research facilities, networking, training and other related websites. Via the search function, you can search by country and by keyword.
