BANGLADESH MEETS THE NETHERLANDS

Peter Borren

Captain, Netherlands

We live in exciting times. Bangladesh is part of a booming Asian hemisphere. The spirit of cricket, with its drive and enthusiasm, symbolizes the country's energy and its ambition to have a better future for its people.

Bangladesh and the Netherlands have a lot in common. Both are delta countries and densely populated. Of course we share experiences in water management. We also work together in areas such as education, health and women's empowerment.

We aim to broaden our cooperation with Bangladesh and to increase trade and investments between our countries. Bangladesh and The Netherlands stand united in their passion for sports. Let me wish Peter and Shakib good luck in the World Cup Cricket.
